SalesFusion vs hiring your first sales rep
A rep sells the pitch you give them, to the leads you have, with the process you’ve got. If none of that is written down yet, they inherit the problem, with a salary attached.
So I build the system first. When you hire, your rep starts with a written playbook and agents on day one.
| Hiring a rep first | SalesFusion | |
|---|---|---|
| What you get | A person who sells the pitch you give them, with the process you’ve got | A system built with you, in your own tools, and a written sales process your next hire inherits |
| Where the playbook lives | In your head, until someone writes it down | Written down from how I close deals, with agents around every call |
| Cost over six months | About $80K–$150K for an SMB account executive and an SDR, fully loaded | One fee, paid up front, for the build and months 4 to 12, shared on the diagnostic call |
| Time to first results | 35–44 days to hire, then a 3- to 6-month ramp | 7 days |
| Time to a working system | SDR at full speed in about 5 months, account executive in about 8 | 6–8 weeks |
| Your hours each week | Hiring, onboarding and managing, on top of selling | Approvals, plus the sales calls you already take |
| What you own at the end | The people, while they stay | Everything |
| If it doesn’t work | Rehire and start over | Every dollar back if you’re under the half-pace line three month-ends in a row, and you keep the system |
You’ll still hire
The question is when, and what they walk into. More opportunities means more calls, so the month your pipeline justifies a rep, you hire one, and they inherit a written process and agents instead of your memory.
When that month comes, I help you hire and train them. You and your reps just take the calls.
When hiring first is the better pick
You already have a written sales process, a case that converts, and more qualified calls than you can take yourself.
Hiring costs and ramp times: pay from RepVue (SMB account executive, Dec 2025) and The Bridge Group (SDR, 2025); ramp times from The Bridge Group’s 2026 AE report and 2025 SDR report; benefits load from the BLS; time to hire from Gem and SHRM (2025).
